Nature Babies

This a group for parents and babies

aged 6 weeks- 6 months…

Would you like…

…to spend more time outdoors and in nature.

…a parent and baby class which is low stimulation with a small group of people.

…something for your wellbeing as well as your baby’s.

Held outdoors in a woodland setting, we have all facilities close by and opportunity for enjoying the cafe at each session.

I have brought together all my training in supporting and nurturing others, my experience as a new mum and my experience working with new families to bring you this beautiful nurturing space. It will be an opportunity for you to introduce your baby to the benefits of nature bathing, to mindful moments together and to meeting new people in a small group.

Welcome to Nature Babies

This groups is designed to give you and your baby access to nature, to mindfulness activities and to be part of a small group where you might find friendships and support in your community during this unique time as a new parent.

This group is led by me, Sarah, I’ve trained with Wildflower Education to bring you this group.  My training with the Mindful Breastfeeding School in debriefs, co-regulation and mindfulness techniques also informs what I do here.  Before my time creating Green Moon Community, I’ve been a social worker, a women’s life coach, a charity manager, and a manager of a community café.  All of which mean lots of time spent supporting people, often focused on wellbeing and self-development.

At Nature Babies you can expect:

Sessions designed for you to experience calm and connection with yourself, your baby and the group of people you are with.  There will be activities for body and mind, you can choose what suits you on the day, it is ok to not take part in parts of the session.  If I can support or adapt things to help you- let me know.

There will be times to talk about your experience as a parent, you don’t have to share anything unless you want to.  Anything shared in the group remains there, we have an agreement of confidentiality with each other, unless the safety of another person, you or your baby is an issue.

There are toilets, baby change and café facilities at our venue. If you have any dietary requirements or accessibility needs let me know in advance.  All Green Moon Community groups are places of freedom and inclusivity.  You are welcome and loved just as you are. If I can do anything to support, you in making the most of the group- just ask.  I can make adaptations for sensory needs, to use or avoid certain language and develop the group to suit the parents and babies in it.

We will meet at the café of Burlish Bike Park there’ll be time to use the facilities and check in as we walk to the woodland site.  This is buggy friendly, but you may wish to wear your baby in a sling.  The Nature Babies woodland site will have spaces for you and baby to be sat comfortably on the floor with cushions and blankets. There is a baby change area and places to park a buggy.

Depending on the weather we’ll spend up to an hour in the woodland before walking back to the café for refreshments and take time to chat.  The café has a selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes, and snacks for you to purchase.  If the weather is too wet or too cold, we’ll relocate some or all of the session to the café space.

Between groups you can contact me by email, WhatsApp or social media.  You can join a WhatsApp group for ongoing community if you would like to.
